I was looking online for examples of realistic knitted anatomy when I found this pattern on Knitty. Over the last couple of weeks I knitted my own in the hope that it would help me when I come to design a heart for my final piece.
It was a quick and easy knit, though I don't think I stuffed mine well enough. For people who care about such things I knitted it with just under one ball of Sirdar Snuggly in shade 0242.
And below are my lungs! Still a work-in-progress – I'm not sure how I'm going to attach them to the windpipe yet.
