"Stem"

Back in December I wrote that I'd post some good quality photographs of my final piece from the constructed textiles module in the new year. Today, those pictures are finally up.




The brief was to create a piece based on drawings made at Kew Gardens that could be displayed on a female mannequin. "Stem" was based specifically on drawings of plant stems, and combines hand-felted wool, knitted wire and dyed and knitted paper string.
